AHTT RATINGS PROCESS Members of AHTT will be now rated and ranked. This is a new system that the association come up with to determine the level of each player nationaly.
The Rating System will work like this: Following any AHTT tournament; the tournament director sends the results of the tournament in to AHTT headquarters. There, the AHTT ratings coordinator processes the results using the Procedure under the Ratings Systems.The Following Steps are Then Performed.

The Tournament Report After a tournament the director of the tournaments will send the report to the Association two weeks following the tournaments, any report sent out after two weeks will not take in consideration. At the same time, the fees for the player ratings should be sent also and will be entered into the database.
Entering Unregistered Player in the system Any player that doesn't have a membership, should be entered in the system. This is done using the Registration Page on the website.
Entering Tournaments Match When the player list is complete, entry of each match begins. Scores should be entered for all matches. As each match with a score is entered, the program looks at the match score, and using de system chart below to estimates what is the rating difference between the two players should be. This information can be used to help determine new rating for a player.
Assign Unrated players a Ratings - If an Unrated player Lose all the matches he or she plays (His or her rating will be set to 400[the lowest rating possible]).
- If an Unrated player wins all the matches he or she plays (his or her rating will be set to: [Highest win + 80])
- If an Unrated player win and lose matches he or she plays(his or her rating will be set to: (highest win + worst lost)/2))
- If both players are rated players we will go to distribution chart to Assign or take away point from the players.
AHTT Rating Distribution Chart
For example if player A (rated 2000) defeats player B (rated 1980), player A will gain 8 points (becoming 2008), and player B will lose 8 points (becoming 1972).
N.B- If a player has not played any sanctioned tournaments for at least a year (1yr) or does not have rating, he or she cannot advance in the tournament after the first round.
